- National Museum of Egyptian Civilization: Proceed to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is in Fustat, the first Egyptian capital after the Arab Islamic conquest, so it was a logical choice for the museum site, as the area is located at the crossroads of Egyptian history.
- The museum partially opened in 2017, and will display a collection of 50.000 artifacts, presenting Egyptian Civilization from prehistoric times to the present day.
- The National Museum is also the House of the Royal Mummies.
